In Warsaw, as always, a lot of things are going on. The second part of the past year was a time full of initiatives, thanks to which a number of interesting spots turned up on the map. If you are once more wondering how to spend a lazy afternoon or a crazy evening, we have some suggestions for you.
In Poznańska street, a place full of fashionable joints (such as: Kaskrut, Tel Aviv, Leniviec, and Kraken), a new, noteworthy place was opened. An original decoration, which consists, for example, of a baroque mirror hanging right next to chairs from a milk bar, makes it impossible to pass Polonez coffee bar club indifferently. Additionally, visualizations add to this place a truly unique atmosphere. In its menu, you can find simple snacks (like beetroots with goat cheese and interesting sandwiches) and a wide range of drinks, including coffees, teas, cocktails, juices, regional beers and stronger alcoholic beverages of both Polish and foreign origin.
“Donoszenie dobrych smaków to nasza specjalność![“Delivering good tastes is our speciality! You must taste it!”]. This is a slogan that advertises a new spot in Śródmieście ‒ Uprzejmie Donoszę. It is divided into two parts ‒ the underground one and a garden area (covered and heated). Its menu is based on Mexican and American cuisine, the dishes are prepared according to original recipes and served with home-made sauces. In Uprzejmie Donoszę you can eat for example juicy burgers, Mexican pizzas, fresh salads, roasted wheat quesadillas, corn soft tacos, tapas, shrimps, and crispy ciabattas. The bar serves beers, drinks and strong alcoholic beverages.
For those who prefer watching performances in their free time, visiting Hoża 51 will be an interesting experience. In the very centre of Warsaw, in an old, cheese factory, an original theatrical space was established. It is managed by Pijana Sypialnia theatre, that was opened in 2012, and is based on the idea of combining a theatre with culture of a coffee shop and a club. The Hoża 51 stage is a place where independent groups from the whole country can perform, shows are usually followed by discussions and parties. What is more, acting and improvising workshops along with free Warsaw dance lessons are organised.

Those who are eager for culinary shopping experiences will definitely be glad about the fact that on Sunday 19.01 the very first Targowisko took place. The visitors had a chance to taste dishes from all over the world and local delicacies. The idea of Targowisko is to promote healthy food sold by local suppliers. Every Sunday, from 10.00 a.m. to 06.00 p.m. you can buy high quality vegetables, fruit, preserves, cheeses, meats and hams, often prepared on the basis of traditional recipes and ingredients. The unique atmosphere of Targowisko is created also by the place where it is located ‒ a popular students’ club. Thanks to this fact the visitors can rest on couches which in the evenings are occupied by students during wild parties.
