The night life of Kraków focuses on the vicinities of the Main Square and Kazimierz – the biggest number of clubs is located in those parts of the city. Many spots are situated also in other districts – we give you a hint where to go in search of the best parties.
Parties on the Main Square
When hitting a club or a pub with friends, it is a good idea to start off with the Main Square. On the square itself, there are at least several places worth recommending. Good jazz music enthusiasts will surely be happy to visit Harris Piano Jazz Bar (28 Rynek Główny), where in an atmospheric interior you can listen to unique music of the best artists with a strong drink in your glass.
Right next to it, a spacious music club, Baccarat Live, with two dance floors, three bars, and separate zone for smokers, is situated. Elegant design will certainly please those who enjoy partying in luxurious interiors. The club regularly organises concerts and theme parties.
On the other side of the market, there is a night club – One Club and Lounge (42 Rynek Główny) – where theme parties are held on a regular basis. If you and your friends feel like dancing, it is a good place to begin a night full of excitement.
Those who are into different, harder, sounds will find Klub Pod Jaszczurami, at 8 Rynek Główny, a perfect place for a party. The oldest student club in the city, distinguished by unique and atmospheric design, is a venue where famous polish artists perform, and regular theme parties as well as karaoke are held.
The vicinity of the market
The streets surrounding the Main Square are a perfect location for bars, pubs, and music clubs. The area surrounded by Planty contains at least several places worth recommending. Szewska Street is a place where you can visit an appreciated disco, Frantic Club (5 Szewska), Rin Music Club (14 Szewska), a night club, Taboo Club (21 Szewska), a jazz club, Jazz Faust Cafe (21 Szewska) or a basement pub, Klub Kulturalny (25 Szewska), among others. This is an area with a little something for everyone! Nearby, Jagiellońska Street, with In Blanco and Four Music Club (6 Jagiellońska), awaits.
Even more places worth partygoers’ attention are located at Sławkowska Street. Right there, you can find the legendary Klub Afera (13 Sławkowska) where concerts of famous Polish and foreign rock bands are held. Jazz fans can visit two jazz clubs in this area – Chicago Jazz Live Music (11 Sławkowska) and Jazz Rock Cafe (12 Sławkowska). Those looking for somewhere to dance can go to Carpe Diem Club, located at 6A Sławkowska.
Not far away, at Floriańska Street, places such as Indigo Pub (26 Floriańska), Taboo, a night club, (33 Floriańska) can be found. A great dance club is situated at 24 Floriańska Street – Klub Obsesja.
Kazimierz – a cultural melting pot
Kazimierz is a district famous for rich cultural life and spots which attract crowds of people craving for a party every weekend. No wonder that in this charming area clubs and pubs pop up like mushrooms.
At 12 Bożego Ciała Street, partygoers visit Klub Pozytywka in large numbers. It attracts with unique design, clean and comfortable interior, delicious coffee and brand drinks, photo exhibitions and – above all – great fresh music which cannot be found in ordinary overcrowded music clubs.
Not far away, at 14 Bożego Ciała, Winda Club, which deserves the credit for a wide range of unusual drinks – crafts beers, Polish vodkas, wines, and ciders, is located. The spot often organizes dance parties, but it is also a place where you can chill with your friends and some beer.
Other party streets in Kazimierz which are worth visiting are Krakowska and Skawińska. Two big music clubs are located there – Loca Music Club (19 Krakowska) and Playplace (13 Skawińska).
