Wianki 2014

Wianki also known as Kupala Night is an annual event, celebrating the shortest night of the year. At the same time it’s the biggest public, outdoor event in Warsaw, taking place at the end of June. During the previous editions, the event was focused around concerts but this year organizers decided to prepare something for the whole families. From the early hours of afternoon, there will be special events for kids and their parents like animations and entertaining shows next to the Multimedia Fountain. Hopefully the weather would be nice as a picnic is planned. Fans of more active ways of spending time can go on a cruise in traditional boats on Vistula or simply relax by observing balloon flights. That’s not all! In the evening, around 21:00, everyone is invited to outdoor concerts that will take place on Sanguszki Street. So far we know that such artists as Hey, £¹ki £an and D¿em are going to perform. The star of the evening is British, indie-rock band, Razorlight. You should know their hit “America”. Traditionally the event will end up with firework show.
