On 27 July in Multikino cinemas in the whole Poland you will have a chance to watch a recorded coverage of “Euugeniusz Oniegin” in the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
In the recording from 5 October 2013 Mariusz Kwiecień plays the title role, Anna Natrebko and Piotr Beczała play Tatiana and Wlodzimierz Lenski respectively. This adaptation of Peter Tchaikovsky’s famous opera with Kontantin Szylowski’s libretto based on a digressive poem by Alexander Pushkin had its premiere in the Metropolitan Opera on 23 September 2013.
