Big Book Festival is going to take place on 12 – 14 June in Warsaw under the banner: “You’re not a dog, you have to read!”.
The festival will be a perfect opportunity to take a look at the relationships between writers and their pets – a recollection of anecdotes related to such personalities as Julian Tuwim with Dżońcio, Zofia Nałkowska with Morus, and John Steinbeck with Charley. The highlight of this event is going to be setting a record of people and dogs reading together outdoors – at noon on 14 June, in the very centre of Warsaw. Make sure to come.
Among the guests of this 3-day event, such authors as Zadie Smith, Swietłana Aleksijewicz, Sofi Oksanen, Lars Saabye Christensen, and Władimir Sorokin are going to come. The schedule includes 50 meetings, discussions, workshops, walks, exhibitions, and initiatives.
