Ottavio Dantone, who is certainly well-known among the audience in Kraków, and his Accademia Bizantina band will provide entertainment at end of this year’s Misteria Paschalia. They are going to present one of Geogre Frideric Handel’s final works – the “Balthasar” oratory.
Balthasar’s controversial, some even find it iconoclastic, feast is the most significant part of the work. Unusual figures with strong characters create an explosive mixture. What is more, their stories take place in the background of unique events. This spectacular, extremely impressive and emotion-playing opera is going to be staged in Kraków on the final day of the festival – 27 March.
