This year is going to be loud in Kraków! Legends of rock, Juwenalia student festival and many music festivals – there is definitely no room for boredom.

May will begin with a bang – Agnostic Front (6 May, Kwadrat) and Sonata Arctica (14 May, Klub Fabryka) are giving concerts and will surely draw hard music enthusiasts’ attention.

Agnostic Front is an American band playing hardcore and crossover trash. Polish fans may know them from such songs as “Gotta go” or “For my family”. Tickets for the concert, which is going to be held on 6 May in Klub Kwadrat at 1 Skarżyńskiego, will cost PLN 60 (on the day of the concert – 70 PLN).

The Finnish powermetal group is going to play the whole album during the concert on 14 May in Klub Fabryka (23 Zabłocie). Tickets will cost PLN 90 (PLN 100 on the day of the concert). Special guest appearance by a German band – Freedom Call – included.

In the middle of May, Kraków is going to experience the biggest student party in the city – Czyżynalia (Kraków version of Juwenalia student festival). The festival is going to be held on 15-16 May 2015 on the runaway of the Polish Aviation Museum. Among the stars who are going to perform during Czyżynalia is Pidżama Porno, a classic band of the Polish music stage, returning after 7 years! Tickets from the first pool are already available – a single entrance costs PLN 30, a two-day ticket costs 50 PLN. You can follow the announcements about the upcoming artists on the fanpage of the festival.

Classical music enthusiasts will surely be attracted by the unique event which is the concert of a Dutch violinist André Rieu with Johann Strauss’ Orchestra. André Rieu’s personality is the reason that his concerts should draw not only music lovers’ attention. Those events turn classical music into popular one, hence they are not only fantastic performances but also great fun. The event is going to take place on 28 May at Kraków Arena – a place of great acoustics. Ticket prices range from PLN 190-490.

A legend of trash metal – Testament – is coming on 3 June to Studio (4 Budryka). The band will be soon celebrating its 30th birthday, but it is still dynamically active and it does not sound like the passing time is against it. Polish fans cannot wait for the live performance of such hits as “Legacy” and “The New Order” – and as we know Testament’s concerts are always unforgettable. Cost of pre-sale tickets is PLN 80, on the day of the concert they will cost PLN 90.

The icing on the rock cake of Kraków in 2015 will be Mark Knopfler’s, a guitarist and singer from the legendary Dire Straits, concert. The multiple Grammy award winner is going to perform on 13 July at Kraków Arena. This is going to be his fifth concert in Poland – this time the artist will be promoting his new album “Tracker”.
