Św. Mikołaja Street hides a couple of unique places which you simply cannot miss, including the Polish Posters Gallery in Wrocław, which is a stationary version of the oldest internet shop with posters in Poland.
The spacious establishment is located on the ground floor of a historic tenement house and impresses with the number and variety of posters made by the most outstanding Polish graphic artists. The offer of the shop consists of over 5,000 posters, whereas the collection which is displayed during various exhibition is twice as big. The assortment includes works from several decades, with the oldest coming from the 1950s. You can admire and buy here the best film posters as well as those promoting other cultural events. Moreover, the gallery has also its own series – “PLAKAT-POLSKA” – which was created by Ryszar Kaja, a gifted visual artist, and published by the Gallery on its own.
