Zakąski i wódka
Snack bars became very popular, not only in Kraków, within a couple of years. Cheap alcohol, snacks like from the times of People's Poland, home atmosphere – these are just some of the reasons why Zakąski i Wódka attracts hundreds of revellers every weekend.
The menu, despite being short, will satisfy every Polish cuisine enthusiast. You can eat a large helping of bigos, weisswurst, or a thick slice of bread with lard for just PLN 8. That is why, it is a good place to have lunch, dinner, and supper. The biggest crowds come to Zakąski in the evening to wash down a delicious herring with something stronger in an unpretentious atmosphere. All drinks – alcoholic and soft – cost here only PLN 4.
Its great location, right next to Nowy Sqaure, contributed to the fact that Zakąski i Wódka quickly became popular with the residents of Kraków and tourists. It is a particularly interesting place for foreign tourists because it allows them to discover the atmosphere of a bar from the times of People’s Poland.
