The Stained Museum in Kraków is unique not only due to its location, where the most famous Polish pieces of stained glass were created, designed by Józef Mehoffer, among others.

The museum area is placed in a stained glass studio which still operates. The layout of rooms and their function have not been changed so visitors have direct contact with the process of making stained glass and gifted stained glass manufacturers working there. In this vivid museum, you can not only admire masterpieces included in the permanent exhibition but also observe artist doing their everyday job. A visit in this museum is a unique atmospheric experience which blurs the boundaries between past and modernity – inside the tenement house built in 1902 neither the character nor the way of manufacturing stained glass has changed.
