The Krakow Opera is staging one of the most beautiful love stories – a touching tale about the disappointing love between a geisha, Cio-Cio-San, and an American navy lieutenant. Madame Butterfly, as called by Pinkerton, is just a form of escape for the American, she is nothing more than just a mean to make a long journey more enjoyable, a passing fancy. Oriental Japan is a perfect background for the drama of Cio-Cio-San, who is left alone with a child by her lover.

The tickets cost PLN 28 – 120 and are available online at www.opera.krakow.pl or in the box office of the theatre. The box office is open from Monday till Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 07:00 p.m. and on Sunday as well as holidays two hours before the show.
