The Lamentation of Wacław of Szamotuły will come to the Holy Cross Church in Szamotuły on 30 March. The world-class performance of this reconstructed piece, dedicated to the Festival Misteria Paschalia, will be held in the composer’s hometown. This is the first time when the festival takes place outside Kraków. Cracow Singers will perform at the festival for the first time. It will also be graced by the presence of Marc Lewon – a lute player and researcher who reconstructed the Lamentation.
