Evening workshops for youth under the 14th Misteria Paschalia Festival
On Holy Wednesday and Maundy Thursday (12 and 13 April), Tenebrae workshops for teenagers will be organised. The meeting will be held at the lecture hall in the basement of the Corpus Christi Basilica in the heart of Kaziemierz in Krakow. This will be a perfect opportunity to learn about the mystical secret of Easter.
The workshops will start with a meeting with Tomacz Raczkiewicz – a singer, countertenor, actor, director, cultural manager, teacher, head of the MOZarte foundation, who will turn into a medieval monk for the purpose of the meeting. We will find out what Tenebrae is, analyse the liturgy of the Holy Week and discuss the role of music composed for liturgy.
In the second part, Laterans will take us to the parts of the Basillica which are usually closed. This will be a chance to see the largest organs in Kraków, among other things. After the workshops, the participants will have a chance to attend atmospheric Tenebrae concerts.
